Mount Lady MacDonald

While construction was still ongoing on my new house (it has completed since), I wanted to try a door-to-door hike up Mount Lady MacDonald, just to see what the times were like.
It took about 12 minutes to walk from my house to the trail head, another hour and 45 minutes to get to the old teahouse, and from there I lost track of time as I was scared from the exposure and wind.

Where's Waldo?

The first 50 metres of the scrambly part were a little exposed but pretty secure. Beyond that, however, things got a lot scarier and I spent some time contemplating whether I wanted to continue on or not before deciding I had too much photography gear with me to do it safely.

About 100m from the summit, I was concerned that I would not be able to return safely

This was also the inaugural day in my new boots, so the hike back down was a bit slower than usual.

Grotto Mountain, from the west

All in all, a nice little side trip before cleaning up some garbage at the construction site and heading back to Calgary.
