Still suffering from jetlag, they wanted to do something leisurely for their first day, so I suggested Cougar Creek.
It was a beautiful day with lots of mountain bikers and climbers in the area. We followed the creek for about an hour until we got a good view of Mount Fable (2702m), where we stopped for lunch for about half an hour.

The water was brisk and refreshing, but not so high that we had any trouble making the dozen or so crossings.

We walked all the way back to our house, so I guess we can consider this part of our front yard now.
