EEOR

A little hike in our back yard.

We did the unimaginable and left our house at 10:57am after a leisurely breakfast. The parking lot at Whiteman's Gap was filled to capacity, as was Goat Creek. We parked on the little pullout near the start of the trail up EEOR.

It took about an hour and 40 minutes to get to the first summit. The ledges were free of snow so the going was easy. We saw several other groups either on the way up or down, but did not have to share the summit with anyone.

The second summit was just a quick jaunt over, so we made our way there. Aki wrote in the summit register then we decided to head back down via an alternate gully further to the east. For future reference, I would not do that gully again, as it is loose and messy.

The second summit and the trail register

No wildlife sightings today, but we did see a line of ants going up Ha Ling.

Back to the car in 1h30m (much of that time spent going down that gully), then ice cream at the Old School Bus and brought home a case of Grizzly Paw soda. Life is good.

For some reason, the GPS route above shows us not quite reaching the summit ridge. That is incorrect. We went from the easternmost end of the ridge to the second peak a bit further west. Guess the GPS was off a bit.
