I fear that ski season is ending soon.

The last day on classic skis for the season.

Our continuing search for powder led us to Crowfoot Pass.

It's the beginning of spring, which means it's time to start looking for those sheltered slopes and northern aspects.

My first visit to the Rockies was in the summer of 2003, Aki and I doing a backpacking trip to Mount Assiniboine via Sunshine Meadows.

It began in the summer of 2012, while we were staying at Mosquito Creek hostel on our bike trek from Jasper.

There's been a lot of snow recently, and while things are stabilizing, there is still some risk in many areas.

We've never skied the trackset trails around Lake Louise as they're never ready early in the season, but Frank and Tiiu took us for the first time.

We spent 2 nights at Mosquito Creek hostel to celebrate Aki's and Angie's birthdays.

Another trip into the Helen Shoulder glades, this time with a more straightforward approach.
