Mount Baldy via Ski Hut Trail

What a difference a week makes!

The week previous, we attempted this hike in overcast and foggy conditions, leading to missing the turnoff for the Ski Hut Trail, and as a result we walked all the way up the access road to the ski lodge. From there, we started walking towards Mount Baldy proper, but were stopped by high winds and snow. Snow!

A week later, we had beautiful blue skies, but more people, so we didn't stop for long at the summit before heading to West Baldy and having the peak to ourselves for the entire time we were there.

This is still one of the best reward / drive ratio hikes in the area. I'm sure we'll be back again, maybe via a different trail.
