An area in the San Bernardino mountains that reminds me of Lake Tahoe.
We had come to the Keller Peak area to climb on a couple of occasions, and the setting seemed like it would make for a good hiking area, so we decided to try out the Exploration Trail in the Children's Forest.

The hike was a gentle uphill for most of the way. |
We were greeted with blissfully cool weather, and I started off the day with a wind breaker! It was nice to wear a jacket again.

The trail is shared among mountain bikers and runners as it is very gently sloping. We saw maybe 4 or 5 groups the entire day.

A nice lookout. |
We ended up hiking through the Snow Valley ski resort area, but turned around before actually summiting Keller Peak as the peak has a radio transmitter station and a fire overlook.
