I had initially visited Idyllwild during my interview trip back in February of 2014, not so much for Mount San Jacinto, but rather the climbing on Tahquitz Peak and Suicide Rock. However, I had not had a chance to visit this area again until now.
It was an uncomfortably hot day, but beautiful blue skies and good coverage of trees made for a great outing. We also had the occasional cool breeze which was very welcome.
