Canmore

Back home to run my first ultra-marathon and enjoy Canmore.

This will be a short post as I'm trying to catch up.

Ultra-marathon did not go well, but I did finish, albeit with a bit of a scare at the end due to my asthma flaring up unexpectedly. My times were as follows:

10 km: 01:01:20
20 km: 01:59:32
30 km: 03:00:05
50 km: 05:40:30

Here's a link to my GPS tracker:

Rained for several days afterwards, so didn't get to do any climbing, but did manage a couple of local scrambles.

EEOR

David had never completed EEOR before, and it's my favourite Canmore hike, so we went up!

Grotto

Aki, Rene, and Carmen had never done Grotto before, and I wanted to reset my expectations of what a "steep" hike is (4016 feet in 2.3 miles, for my American friends), so we went up!

It was good to be home, but I think I am getting more comfortable with the arrangements I have set up for myself.
