The original plan was to attempt Mount Cory, but due to inclement weather we decided upon a slightly less exposed peak in Middle Sister.
The floods haven't changed the approach much, although the trail is mostly gone and a lot more rock hopping is required. The cairn that indicates which gully to take is also gone, but probably for the best as it was never very clear which direction the cairn was actually indicating.

Lots of rain made it feel like the coast |
We saw three other groups, and I believe everyone managed to summit, despite the weather.

A lull in the rain as we sat on the summit |
On our descent, the route was much wetter and muddier than on the way up, making progress slow in the upper parts. No one was particularly clean by the time we got back to the car.

Wet rock makes for a more interesting day |
In hindsight, we made a good decision to skip Mount Cory as the risk would have been far greater, especially with the thunder we heard in the distance.
