Hiking in Kirkwood!
Kirkwood is a really interesting ski resort, away from the crowds of Heavenly, with a crazy amount of snow (averaging around 15 metres per winter). In the summer, it's fairly quiet with mostly locals hiking or mountain biking.
When I ran here a week prior, the day was cut short by thunder and lightning in the distance. On this day, there was not a cloud in the sky.
