Icehouse Canyon to Timber Mountain

Back to the Mount Baldy area of Angeles National Forest.

I've spent a lot of time in this area, but my team had not, so we decided to do one of the easier hikes starting at the Icehouse Canyon trailhead.

The parking lot was crazy, as usual, but the trail itself wasn't too busy. We only encountered a handful of groups on the way up to Icehouse Saddle, and fewer up to Timber Mountain.

It was a hot day, but the plentiful shade along the trail was very helpful.

I do appreciate the steeper nature of the trails in this area, as compared to San Diego.
