I guess I forgot to create a post for the Okanagan Marathon. Here were my results.
Gun time - 3h52m36s
Chip time - 3h51m51s
Pace - 5m30s per km
Male 30-39 placement - 47 out of 93
Gender placement - 105 out of 278
Overall placement - 156 out of 539
10k - 51m55s
Half - 1h48m49s
30k - 2h38m21s
35k - 3h07m35s
You kept a pretty steady pace until the last 5 km...is that usual for a marathon?
ReplyDeleteIdeally, you keep a steady pace throughout. It's not unusual to slow down though, especially at the 30k mark, which is when most people start to hit "the wall". I was dealing with some bad blisters which made the last bit pretty difficult.
